Bing Copilot AI Performance for B2B brands

Use citations, cited pages and grounding queries to find where your evidence already supports AI answers—and where buyer-relevant coverage is still missing.

Status: measurement guide, not a results claim

Synta has not published a Bing/Copilot observation dataset on this page. A future observation report will require exported Bing Webmaster Tools data, a defined property, complete comparison windows and a documented extraction date. The 2026 750-answer API benchmark used Perplexity, Qwen and DeepSeek and is reported separately.

What to export

Two reports answer different questions

Pages shows which URLs Bing reports as cited sources. Use it to identify the content formats and evidence that deserve expansion.

Grounding queries shows the underlying topics or questions associated with those citations. Use it to separate target-buyer demand from irrelevant exposure.

Export both for the same complete 28-day window. Compare with the immediately preceding complete 28 days; do not mix partial periods.

Minimum observation record

  • Verified Bing Webmaster Tools property and canonical hostname
  • Exact start and end dates plus export timestamp
  • Total citations and the complete cited-pages export
  • Complete grounding-queries export
  • Site changes made during the window
  • Lead events and customer-reported discovery source

Five measures

A small scorecard is easier to trust

1

Total citations

How often Bing reports that a URL from the site was used as a cited source in eligible AI experiences.

2

Different cited URLs

How broadly citations are distributed across the site instead of depending on one page.

3

Citation concentration

The share of citations contributed by the top three pages; this is calculated after export.

4

Grounding-query coverage

The buyer questions and research themes for which the site contributes supporting evidence.

5

Qualified enquiries

Leads connected to the cited topics, recorded separately because citation reporting is not conversion attribution.

What citations can support

They can reveal whether Bing reports using your pages as supporting evidence, which URLs contribute and what query themes are associated with them. The trend can guide content and evidence priorities.

What citations cannot prove

A citation is not automatically a recommendation, click, lead or sale. It also does not prove ranking position or causal impact. Those outcomes need separate prompt testing, analytics and lead qualification.

Turn the export into an implementation plan

Synta reviews cited pages and buyer queries, then maps priority evidence, page improvements and a fixed monitoring set. The deliverable states the sample, platform, date range and limitations.
